Golf. The Claret Jug.

The Open Championships

A bonus Monday of action from the Old Course, St Andrews, and it promises to an absorbing day of action in the 2015 Open Championships.  And it’s just £10 adults with under 16s free with adult, on the gate!

A stellar cast of the world’s best players have been competing for the famous Claret Jug at what is the 29th time St Andrews has hosted the most prestigious tournament in golf.

USA’s Jordan Speith, the current Masters and US Open, was the pre-tournament favourite to win what would be a third major tournament in a row, however the likes of Louis Oosthizen, Padraig Harrington, Ricky Fowler and Britain’s Ryder Cup stars including Sergio Garcia and Justin Rose have other ideas.  And don’t rule out Irish amateur, Paul Dunne, joint leader of the field on -12 after the 3rd round, and looking to make a piece of golfing history by becoming the first amateur to win the Open since Bobby Jones in 1930.

Friday night’s cut, followed by yesterday’s round determined the players in pole position to claim the trophy at around 6.30pm this evening at the ‘Home of Golf’.  This is the leaderboard, a superb day of action is in store.

Check out today’s tee times for a full running order of the day and who is playing when.
