In 2025, a host of the sport’s biggest names took were in action at Lee Valley VeloPark. These included double Olympic gold medallist Katie Archibald and fellow world champion Neah Evans. Joining them was new addition Matthew Richardson, an Olympic silver medallist who has switched national allegiance from Australia to Great Britain. He had already made headlines in GB colors, winning three national titles and making a strong statement at the UCI Track Champions League. After a silver and bronze haul at the Paris 2024 Olympics, Richardson raced as one of the fastest men on the planet.
Finucane, Capewell & Ledingham-Horn
Emma Finucane, one of the most dominant riders on the current women’s track cycling scene, was also in action in 2025. The Welsh sprinter made history as world sprint champion in 2023 and Olympic team sprint gold medallist in 2024 and holds multiple British records. Finucane returned to London alongside Olympic and world champion Sophie Capewell. Capewell is fan favorite known for her speed, strength, and emotional journey to the top of the sport. She who won gold at the 2024 Olympics with Finucane and Katy Marchant and has been awarded an MBE for services to cycling.
Rounding out the sprint quartet was British star Harry Ledingham-Horn. A multi-time national champion who burst onto the scene in 2023. With a Nations Cup victory and European medals to his name, Ledingham-Horn is one of the most exciting young riders in the sport today.
