2023 EVENT PREVIEW
The Greenwich Peninsula is the place to be as the latest UFC Fight Night London event arrives in the capital with a host of stars from the world of mixed martial arts set to enter the octagon at the iconic O2 venue.
Earlier this year Leon Edwards took the capital by storm retaining his welterweight title at UFC 286 beating Kamaru Usman on a majority decision, securing his legacy as one of Britain’s greatest ever mixed martial artists. It was the latest UFC event at the O2 following on from July 2022 when Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett and Molly ‘Meatball’ McCann stole the show as Fight Night London returned to the capital for the second time. Pimblett defeated Jordan Leavitt by submission while McCann secured a knockout victory over Hannah Goldy to send a sell-out crowd into raptures.
To tonight and it’s been confirmed that Tom Aspinall versus Marcin Tybura will top the bill at the latest edition of UFC Fight Night London. Aspinall’s heavyweight clash comes almost a year after he suffered an injury in his last bout with Curtis Blaydes. It’s the Wigan man’s first appearance in the octagon since that happened. Tybura comes into the fight in confident mood after back-to-back victories.
Also confirmed on the main card is Molly ‘Meatball’ McCann after her standout performance at the 2022 show. McCann faces Julija Stoliarenko from Lithuanian. See below for the full main card and prelims running order.
