EVENT PREVIEW

The Vitality Netball Nations Cup is a superb showcase of international sport taking place on 20-21 January (in London) and 27-28 January (in Leeds).  England made history in August after reaching their first World Cup final taking wins against Australia and New Zealand on route to winning a silver medal.  Australia (the World Cup winners) and New Zealand remain at the top world rankings, with England currently placed in third.  They are joined by in the Vitality Netball Nations Cup by a Uganda side who recorded their best ever finish at a World Cup with fifth place.

The sides play each other once over the course of the first three days (two of which are in London on Saturday 20/Sunday 21 January).  Then on Sunday 28 January in Leeds a third-place play-off and final will decide who wins the trophy.

Expect the competition to be fierce in London this weekend as all four sides go in search of a double-header of victories.

Who will prevail on the opening weekend?  All sporting roads lead to the OVO Arena Wembley to find out!

Breaking news: Head coach has named a squad of 14 to represent England.  Netball World Cup silver medallists Helen Housby and Nat Metcalf return to the squad after extended breaks.  And 11 players who competed in the Vitality Roses’ thrilling 2-1 Series win over South Africa earlier this month also return.  See below for the squad in full.
