All shinty roads lead to An Aird Park in Fort William this afternoon for Finals Day including the Valerie Fraser Camanachd Cup, the highlight of the women’s shinty calendar.
The day promises to be a fantastic showcase for women’s shinty, a jam-packed programme kicking off first with a 1pm throw-up for the 2017 Marine Harvest Challenge Cup taking place between Glengarry and Ardnamurchan.
That match is followed at 3pm by the final of the biggest prize in women’s shinty, the Valerie Fraser Camanachd Cup with Lochaber and Skye going head-to-head in a repeat of last year’s final which Lochaber won by 4 goals to 2. Will it be repeat or revenge this afternoon? All roads lead to An Aird Park to find out.
Admission is free with spectators encouraged to make a matchday donation.
