Scottish Weightlifting Championships 2016

Pitlochry Weightlifting Club hosts the Scottish Weightlifting Championships where admission is free to watch over 50 of Scotland’s best weightlifters competing for national honours throughout the day.

Seven different groups will be in action (four female, three male) from 10am.  A full list of the groups is below.

Ones to watch:  Georgina Black and Sophie Smyth in the femae 75kg and 69kg respectively at Glasgow 2014 and have the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia in their sights.

Group 1 – FEMALE 48kg and 53kg classes – (6 Lifters)
Group 2 – MALE 62kg and 69kg classes – (5 Lifters)
Group 3 – FEMALE 58kg and 63kg classes – (9 Lifters)
Group 4 – MALE 77kg and 85kg classes – (5 Lifters)
Group 5 – FEMALE 69kg class – (10 Lifters)
Group 6 – MALE 94kg, 105kg and 105+kg classes – (6 Lifters)
Group 7 – FEMALE 75kg and 75+kg classes – (9 Lifters)

Weigh-ins are between 9am and 10am.

Competition starts at 10am.

Admission for all spectators is free!
