Aberdeen FC Ladies v Hibernian

SWPL1.  Aberdeen FC Ladies host Hibernian at Heathryfold Park this afternoon in a must-win match for both sides, albeit for very different reasons.  Kick-off is at 12 noon with admission on the gate.

Aberdeen FC Ladies go into today’s match desperate for all three points or risk being cut adrift at the bottom of the SWPL1 table.  After 16 matches the team from Heathryfold Park have yet to register a win, and a record of three draws and thirteen losses means they are in the automatic relegation spot on 3 points, some 4 points behind Hamilton Academical who occupy the relegation play-off position.  And with Rangers in sixth some way off in the distance it’s realistically between Aberdeen and Hamilton to decide who gets the opportunity to save their top tier status in the end of season play-offs.

At the top of the table it’s a different perspective albeit a similar story for Hibernian who can’t afford to slip up today if they are to maintain their pursuit of leaders Glasgow City.  The Edinburgh side are two points behind City, however have a game on hand, and with a home match to come against the champions they are still in with a great chance of winning the title; if they can keep winning!

Kick-off is at 12 noon.

Admission is on the gate at Aberdeen FC Ladies priced: Adults £5/Children £3.
