Vauxhall International Women’s Challenge Match. Scotland meet Australia in a friendly at the Falkirk Stadium as the two teams gear up for competitive action later this season.
Scotland have recently returned from the 2015 Cyprus Cup where they beat the Korean Republic and the Netherlands, and will start their UEFA Euro 2017 qualification campaign in September with the qualifying groups drawn on April 15th. Meanwhile Australia – ranked number 10 in the world – are preparing for this summer’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada, where they are in Group D alongside Sweden, Nigeria and the United States.
It’s the first time the two countries have met since Scotland defeated Australia 4-2 at the 2014 Cyprus Cup – a result the home side will be keen to repeat this afternoon!
