World Blackball Pool Championships

The Bell’s Sports Centre in Perth is the venue for the World Blackball Pool Championships 2014 taking place between 26th October to 31st October.  A non-ticketed event with free entry to spectators this is an opportunity to watch some of the finest pool players in the world battle it out at one of Scotland’s largest sporting venues.  A total of 1,000 players are due to attend from countries all over the globe.

Blackball pool is a ruleset of 8 ball pool and governed by Blackball International under the umbrella of the World Pool Assocation since 2005.  The four previous World Blackball Championships were held in Blackpool, England (2012); Limoges, France (2010); Swaziland, South Africa (2008) and Cork, Ireland (2006).  Team Scotland boasts a tremendous record in previous Championships, with World Champions in the men’s and ladies categories as both individual players and teams.

The Opening Ceremony takes place at 11am followed by the first day of qualifying action.
