The famous Lakeside Country Club – which has hosted no less than 35 world championships – is a fitting venue for this week’s inaugural World Seniors Darts Masters where sixteen players – including 16-time world champion Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor – will battle it out to lift the trophy.

Taking place from Friday 27 May – Sunday 29 May the famous Lakeside atmosphere will be the backdrop to a total of five sessions over three days, concluding with Sunday night’s session featuring both semi-finals and the final.

Part of the World Seniors Darts Tour (WSDT) – and following on from February’s World Seniors Darts Championship at the Circus Tavern won by Robert Thornton the World Seniors Darts Masters is a mixed tournament open to players aged 50 and over.  Power and Thornton head a stellar cast including the likes of four-time BDO World Champion Lisa Ashton, three-time world champions Martin ‘Wolfie’ Adams and John Lowe, and three-time Lakeside finalist Deta Hedman.

The draw has been made (see in full below) and Paul Lim vs John Part opens the show on Friday night at 7pm, with the winner facing a showdown with Phil Taylor to bring the opening session to a close.  Also on the opening night Kevin Painter and Roland Scholten will play against qualifiers, with matches against Robert Thornton and Martin Adams respectively awaiting the winners.

On Saturday afternoon, Lisa Ashton faces Tony O’Shea, before Terry Jenkins faces the Order of Merit leader from WSDT.  Colin Monk makes his World Seniors debut with the former World Master facing Deta Hedman before Martin Adams takes on either Scholten or a qualifier.

In the evening session, John Lowe starts against Les Wallace before Trina Gulliver faces the winner of the prior Terry Jenkins game.  Then Thornton and Painter could collide before 1988 world champion Bob Anderson faces the 1983 world champion Keith Deller.

Sunday’s sessions will see the tournament play out to a conclusion with eight players becoming one by the end of the final day.

🎟️ Tickets for the World Seniors Darts Masters are off-sale.

🎯 Sessions start at 7pm on Friday 27 May and at 1pm and 7pm on Saturday 28 May and Sunday 29 May.
