London Mavericks are one of 8 sides taking part in the 2025 Netball Super League (NSL). The Londoners have been a part of the UK’s top tier elite-level netball competition since it was founded in 2005. This year the NSL has been relaunched as part of England Netball’s plan to build the most competitive and captivating professional netball league in the world. The season runs from March to June and the Mavericks squad of 10 players are ready to make their mark. London Mavericks tickets are on sale now!
London Mavericks Squad
Newly branded for 2025, London Mavericks NSL2025 squad was unveiled live on Sky Sports News (see below).
Ellie Rattu will captain the team. A regular in Jess Thirlby’s England squad, she brings experience and vision to her new role. Rattu made her NSL debut for London Pulse and with 42 league appearances to her name has established herself as a standout player in the league. Joining the Mavericks in 2024, Rattu made an immediate impact on the team and will lead them into an exciting new chapter.
The Mavericks squad features ten players. Joining Rattu are Amelia Hall, Chelsea Blackman, Emily Andrew, Emma Thacker, Isabella Phillips, Kira Rothwell, Razia Quashie, Suzie Liverseidge and Vicky Oyesola.
2025 NSL home matches
London Mavericks open their NSL season with a trip to Cardiff Dragons in Round 1. Then they host Leeds Rhinos in Round 2 in a sold-out fixture at the Brentwood Centre. Mavericks take the show on the road to Brighton in Round 4 hosting Birmingham Panthers at Brighton Sports Centre ahead of back-to-back matches at Hertfordshire Sports Village against Loughborough Lightning (Round 6, Saturday 19 April) and Cardiff Dragons (Round 8, Saturday 3 May).
In Round 9 (Sunday 11 May) all eyes will be on OVO Arena Wembley for an all-capital clash as London Mavericks go head-to-head against last year’s Grand Final runners-up London Pulse. Mavericks then return to Hertfordshire Sports Village in Round 11 (Saturday 24 May) against Nottingham Forest Netball. Then it’s back to Wembley as Mavericks round off the regular season with a Round 14 (Sunday 15 June) clash against Manchester Thunder.

🚊🚗 Travel tips: The closest tube station to OVO Arena Wembley is Wembley Park which is in Zone 4 and on the Metropolitan and Jubilee Lines. It’s less than a 5/10 minute walk. Upon exiting the station via the lift or stairs, pass under the tunnel onto Olympic Way. When reaching Wembley Stadium (do not walk up the ramps) turn right. 🏐 About the Netball Super League
Netball Super League (NSL) is a club competition featuring 8 elite teams from across England and Wales. The 2025 season launches with the Super Cup at Utilita Arena Sheffield on Saturday 8 March. The league action starts on the following weekend. The teams play each other twice in a home and away robin-format comprising Rounds 1-14 which take place between Friday 14 March to Sunday 15 June.
The top four teams then progress to the play-offs on Friday 20 June and Saturday 28 June. The winners progress to the Grand Final at The O2 on Sunday 6 July.
The current league champions are Loughborough Lightning who defeated Manchester Thunder in the 2024 Grand Final at the Copper Box Arena.
The NSL teams for season 2025 are Birmingham Panthers, Cardiff Dragons, London Mavericks, London Pulse, Loughborough Lightning, Manchester Thunder, Leeds Rhinos and Nottingham Forest Netball.
In the London area there are 2 teams to watch in the NSL. London Mavericks who will play two home matches at OVO Arena Wembley and London Pulse who play at the Copper Box Arena.
