🏉 The dust has settled after England’s memorable victory against Canada in the Women’s Rugby World Cup final.  Suffering withdrawal symptoms?  Fear not as with a new Premiership Women’s Rugby season underway and the 2026 Women’s Six Nations on the horizon there’s lots of opportunities to see Red Roses stars in the capital!

The Red Roses would not be denied against Canada at Twickenham in front of 81,885 spectators, making the final the most attended women’s rugby match in history.  A 33-13 win secured the Red Roses Class of 2025 their own special place in rugby union history.

England return to international action on the hallowed turf in TW2 on Saturday 11 April when they face Ireland in the opening round of the 2026 Women’s Six Nations.  The Red Roses are the current WSN champions and have their sights set on a fifth consecutive Grand Slam.  England v Ireland early bird tickets are on sale now.  Prices start from Adults £15/Juniors £5.

In the meantime the 2025/2026 Premiership Women’s Rugby (PWR) season has lift-off this Friday when Harlequins and Loughborough Lightning meet under the lights at The Stoop.

The PWR is the best women’s rugby union domestic league in the world and features the Red Roses stars across the 9 sides.  Friday night’s opener heralds the start of 18 rounds of action between now and early June 2026.  There are three teams based in London taking part: Harlequins, Saracens and Trailfinders Women.

The opening match between Harlequins against Loughborough Lightning includes a match-up between two standout players from the World Cup winning Red Roses side.  England full-back Ellie Kildunne – who demonstrated whey she is a global rugby star with a superb individual try in the final against Canada – will line up for Quins.  In the opposite corner tough tackling flanker Sadia Kabeya will lead the charge for Lightning.  Also expected to feature from the victorious Red Roses squad are Lucy Packer (Harlequins) and Helena Rowland (Loughborough Lightning).

Saracens – who play at the StoneX Stadium – have a number of Red Roses in their line-up including Jess Breach, Zoe Harrison, Kelsey Clifford and Rosie Galligan.

Sunday 2 November is a date for the diary when Saracens meet Harlequins in north London.

Trailfinders round out the trio of teams in the capital.  They play at Trailfinders Sports Club.  The west London side have Megan Jones  – a Red Roses and Team GB Sevens star – in their ranks.

PWR defending champions Gloucester Hartpury contributed no less than five players to the Red Roses victorious starting 15 against Canada.  England captain Zoe Aldcroft, Tatyana Heard, Natasha Hunt, Maud Muir and Alex Matthews.  Catch Hartpury in the capital on three occasions.  First up against Harlequins on Sunday 9 November, followed by a visit Round 14 visit to Saracens on Saturday 14 March and against Trailfinders Women in Round 17 on Saturday 30 May.

The 2025/2026 PWR champions will be decided next summer in London following the regular season and semi-final play-offs.  Tickets are on sale now for the PWR Final 2026 at Twickenham Stoop on Sunday 28 June.
